Cost Segregation Study

Custom pricing

A building is made of many parts. A cost segregation study identifies the parts that wear out faster, like flooring, lighting and parking lots, so you can depreciate them sooner and lower your taxes in the early years of owning the property.

  • Consultation to see if your property is a good fit
  • Analysis of the property and its components
  • Results coordinated with your tax return

Priced on property type, cost and complexity. We recommend a consultation and analysis first.

Ongoing & partner services

Ongoing

Advisory Only

Custom scope

For businesses with reliable accounting that need higher-level financial or tax advisory outside a recurring package.

  • Financial-performance and cash-flow review
  • Budget-to-actual, forecast and year-end outlook
  • KPI review and tax projections, when in scope
  • Advisor/CFO meetings at the agreed cadence
  • Documented action items and coordination with your other advisors

Partner-provided

Sales Tax Compliance

Custom quote

Specialized sales-tax registration, filing, remittance and notice response, handled through an approved outside specialist rather than included in our core accounting package.

  • Scope set by the jurisdictions and filings involved
  • Engagement terms and pricing set by the specialist
  • Coordinated with your Asolven accounting

Quoted separately by the partner

Starting prices are minimums, not guaranteed quotes. Your final price is set after we understand your entities, accounting condition, tax filings, reporting needs, transaction activity and advisory needs.

03 · What affects the price

Two businesses with the same revenue can need very different amounts of work.

We price on scope and complexity, not revenue alone. These are the factors that move the number.

Transaction volume

More transactions mean more categorization, reconciliation, review and exception handling.

Bank, card, loan & merchant accounts

Each added account brings its own reconciliation and documentation.

Multiple entities

Added accounting, intercompany, reporting and tax work for each entity.

Condition of the books

Missing, duplicate or unreconciled activity takes corrective work.

Payroll complexity

Multiple systems, many employees, owner payroll and benefits.

Sales tax & multi-state activity

More states, jurisdictions and nexus questions widen the scope.

Tax return complexity

Rentals, K-1s, trusts, complex investments, foreign reporting and added schedules.

Number of owners

Compensation, distribution, basis and reporting considerations.

Advisory frequency

Beyond quarterly: CFO support, modeling, acquisitions, lender or investor reporting.

Reporting requirements

Custom, departmental, class or location reporting and KPI dashboards.

Responsiveness & documentation

Incomplete records and repeated follow-up add professional time.

Major business changes

New entities, acquisitions, states, financing or ownership changes may require repricing.

Why your price may change after we begin

Your proposal is based on what's visible during discovery. Once we've completed real accounting and tax work, we validate that scope. If the actual work differs materially, we may recommend an adjustment going forward.

When scope changes, we say so

When the scope changes materially, we address it openly rather than letting work outside the engagement quietly pile up. That keeps expectations clear for both of us.

04 · What holds us up

Most delays come from missing information, not the work itself.

What causes work to be delayed

  • Missing bank, credit-card, loan or merchant statements
  • Disconnected bank feeds or system access not provided
  • Unanswered questions about transactions
  • Missing payroll reports, prior-year returns or entity documents
  • Personal and business transactions mixed together
  • New accounts, entities or loans we weren't told about
  • Major transactions communicated after they happen

How you can keep work moving

  • Provide system access during onboarding
  • Respond promptly to document requests
  • Keep business and personal transactions separate
  • Tell us when accounts open or close
  • Share contracts, closing statements and loan documents as they happen
  • Involve us before major financial or tax-sensitive decisions

Delays postpone more than bookkeeping. They postpone advisory. A last-minute request for financial statements may slow a financing application, and year-end document dumps leave less time to evaluate tax-planning choices. Our role is to identify issues early and provide guidance; your role is to maintain timely access, respond to requests, and tell us about major decisions before they happen whenever possible. The faster the compliance work moves, the more of the relationship can focus on questions like these:

What is changing in the business? What needs attention? What tax decisions are due before a deadline? What does cash flow look like ahead? What should I prepare for next?
